John Booske is Chair of ECE at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Director of the Wisconsin Collaboratory for Enhanced Learning or “WisCEL”, an ecosystem supporting effective active learning (www.wiscel.wisc.edu). His research is in electromagnetic fields, especially microwaves. He has pursued teaching innovations since 1995 including small group collaborative learning, blended instruction, and the flipped classroom. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and the American Physical Society and recipient of the IEEE Educational Activities Board Major Education Innovation Award.

Mohamed F. Chouikha received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1988.  Dr. Chouikha's research interests include, among other areas, Machine learning, Intelligent control, and multimedia signal processing communications for secure networks.  Dr. Chouikha also focuses on enhancing recruitment and retention of underrepresented minorities in the STEM areas in general, engineering in particular.  He was the founder and director of the Center for Applied High Performance Computing, as well as one of the founding directors of the Washington Academy of Biomedical Engineering.  In 2004, Dr. Chouikha established a new Computer Engineering program within the Department of Electrical Engineering.
