ECEDHA Corporate Membership

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA) has established a Corporate Membership Program to strengthen the bonds between ECEDHA member institutions and leading industry organizations, and to advance their areas of mutual interests.

The areas of mutual interest of industry and academia include the need for

  • the ECE curriculum to reflect the changing needs of industry for the next generation of engineering professionals entering the workforce;
  • industry to present, and department heads to understand, the tools which can improve instruction effectiveness in labs and classrooms; and
  • industry professionals and ECEDHA members dialogue and to work together to identify new modalities of instruction

Corporate Members will benefit from participation in a number of ways.

Each Corporate Member will receive:

  • Positioning as a leader within ECE education through interaction with leading ECEDHA member universities
  • Prominent recognition as a major supporter of ECE education to the ECEDHA community through online, print, and program recognition
  • Senior management representation on the ECEDHA Corporate Advisory Council, which meets with and provides important input to the ECEDHA Board of Directors
  • Direct access to individual ECEDHA member universities and departmental leadership. ECEDHA headquarters will help liaise with individual universities and contacts to facilitate ECEDHA Corporate Member desired interactions
  • Influence the future of ECE education and curriculum through participation in ECEDHA topical workshops focused on key issues, opportunities, or challenges facing academia
    • Suggest future topics, provide expertise, and attend these programs
    • Consider presentation opportunities
    • Access the in-depth examination and post-workshop conclusions made available through detailed reports
  • Insights into trends in ECE programs and curricula that affect industry with data input and access to ECEDHA university research study reports
  • Access to ECEDHA's Annual Survey results, an interactive platform that benchmarks programs, curriculums, and research
  • Access to the academic leadership of the ECE community through the ECEDHA department head member and faculty databases
  • A listing in the ECEDHA Corporate Member online directory and a "Corporate Member Profile" in The ECEDHA Source newsletter highlighting the Corporate Member's contributions to academia
  • Opportunity to provide valuable guidance and advice in the development of the ECEDHA Annual Conference Program and receive a complimentary registration for its Corporate Advisory Council member to attend the ECEDHA Annual Conference
