Modeling Capacitive Devices with COMSOL Multiphysics®
Thursday, June 8, 2017 - 2:00pm EDT

Tune into this webinar to learn how to use the COMSOL Multiphysics® software for modeling capacitive devices.

From designing tiny MEMS actuators to fencing off large electrical installations, electrostatics simulations are important in many different applications.

In this webinar, you will learn how to model capacitive devices with COMSOL Multiphysics®. You can analyze the electric fields alone as well as simulate their interaction with other physics, including heat transfer and structural mechanics. We also discuss examples such as capacitors, electrostatic actuators, touchscreens, and microphones. In a live demonstration, you will see how to extract a capacitance matrix from a set of conductors.

You can ask questions at the end of the webinar during the Q&A session.

Numerical simulation of a capacitive touchscreen.

In this webinar, we will discuss:
  • How to model capacitive devices with COMSOL Multiphysics®
  • Different applications for electrostatics simulations
  • Analyzing electric fields in isolation or coupled with other physics
  • How to extract a capacitance matrix from a set of conductors via a live demonstration
