Network-based Instrument Management Solution for Increased Lab Efficiency

Sponsored by:

In traditional teaching labs, connecting instruments to a network can be challenging, building an internal network through cables is tedious, and many lab instruments do not have a LAN port. Tektronix TekSmartLab is different. TekSmartLab is the industry's first network-based lab instrument management solution for quickly setting up and efficiently managing basic electronics engineering laboratories at colleges and universities. It supports up to 400 instruments (100 test benches) on a single platform.  It automatically records and displays instrument asset information, providing laboratory administration with better information for classroom scheduling or making decisions on energy consumption and lab equipment investments. Instead of using a USB thumb drive, students can retrieve test results wirelessly with their smart devices. This session includes an overview of the TekSmartLab solution, and explains how centralized control of instruments can dramatically improve the classroom and lab experience for students, instructors and lab managers.

Why Attend?
  • Learn how to save time by being able to remotely configure large groups of instruments in a lab environment
  • Explore the idea of centralized monitoring and remote assistance to identify when equipment is not working properly
  • Find out how students benefit from being able to remotely retrieve and save test results
