ECEDHA has demonstrated capabilities to deliver high-quality programs and services in support of its mission. This campaign will allow ECEDHA to expand existing programs and create new ones to achieve its goals and objectives.

The ECEDHA Annual Conference and ECExpo is a highly-anticipated yearly meeting that hosts the largest gathering of ECE department heads from throughout the United States and Canada. Deans and faculty from member universities, local high schools, community colleges, and representatives from like-minded associations enjoy dedicated programming opportunities at the Annual Conference.

The ECEDHA Annual Survey has been part of the ECEDHA program for more than a decade, collecting important comparative benchmark data on enrollments, salaries, graduate stipends, space allocations, graduation statistics, research expenditures, and much more. ECEDHA has recently unveiled a new interactive data system for its survey that allows ECEDHA members to perform custom queries of the survey data.

ECE Media programs provide year-round channels for ECEDHA members and their faculty to stay informed about current topics facing ECE, gain access to complimentary educational sessions, and to interact with companies that support ECE disciplines and employ their graduates.

  • ECE Webinars offer a new educational training tool for electrical and computer engineering educators featuring convenient online education covering relevant topics facing ECE faculty.
  • The ECE Source newsletter highlights current topics in engineering education, the latest ECE news, association and partner news, and technology features from leading corporations.
  • Captured live at the ECEDHA Annual Conference and ECExpo, ECEDHA Spotlights provide an opportunity to learn more from leading companies whose products and services are key to enhancing the experience of students and graduates.
  • ECE Insights feature interviews with executives who are driving the future of ECE in industry.

ECEDHA currently presents four annual awards, the Robert M. Janowiak Outstanding Leadership and Service Award, the Innovative Program Award, the Diversity Award, and the ECEDHA Industry Award. The Awards Committee is responsible for administering these four awards and any additional awards ECEDHA may create.

  • The Robert M. Janowiak Outstanding Leadership and Service Award is given to an individual with a sustained record of leadership and service to ECEDHA (primary) and to electrical and computer engineering (secondary). Preference is given to candidates who have made significant contributions to ECEDHA.
  • The Innovative Program Award is given to individual(s) or department(s) that has (have) created, implemented, and sustained the implementation of a successful innovative program and possibly assisted in the implementation of that program at other institutions. A successful program is one that has stood the test of time (i.e., formal integration into a program of study) and has produced measurable improvements in the quality of the electrical and computer education received by a significant number of students at one or more institutions.
  • The Diversity Award is given to department(s) or individual(s) in recognition of proactive efforts to increase cultural, ethnic, and gender diversity within the ECE student body and among ECE faculty, that go well beyond and above the normal institutional recruiting practices.
  • The ECEDHA Industry Award is given to company(s) or individual(s) in companies in recognition of seminal contributions to engineering education—that go well beyond typical industry-university relations. The selection is based primarily on a qualitative evaluation of the educational contributions to recognize and encourage effective engagement in engineering education by industry representatives.

ECEDHA's Corporate Membership Program provides an unparalleled opportunity for business leaders to have access to, and collaboration with, an important academic constituency and influence the future of electrical and computer engineering. A key element of the program is the ECEDHA Corporate Advisory Council, whose members have the opportunity to influence ECEDHA's programs and present recommendations to its Board of Directors. In particular, the council members have the opportunity to provide guidance on the latest technologies and other trends impacting ECE.
